"Saving California Communities: Starting Here!" - a Davis community event

Saturday, May 16, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, University of California at Davis - Buehler Alumni Center. Hosted by Saving California Communities and sponsored by UC Davis, First 5 Yolo, Cities, Counties, Schools Partnership, Davis Community Network, DMA, Tree Davis, and The Stuart Foundation. All are welcome. Free admission. Breakfast and lunch included. RSVP at info@SavingCA.org.

SCC will host Saving California Communities: Starting Here!, a Davis community conversation to explore possibilities and begin to craft a local course of action that joins with others in setting our state on the road to reform.

 

Objectives for the Day:

  • Increase Davis community awareness about the local impacts of state financial decisions and inaction
  • Build general knowledge about the state/local financial structure
  • Inform Davis community about reform efforts underway
  • Alert Davis community about advocacy possibilities
  • Plan next steps
